MyLiP analyses the documents you upload, shows you what UK law says on your issue from public sources, and surfaces patterns from published judgments. You are responsible for every decision you take in your legal matter. For advice specific to your situation, consult a solicitor or direct access barrister.

Not a law firm

MyLiP is software operated by MyLiP Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. MyLiP Ltd is not a law firm, is not authorised or regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and is not authorised to conduct any reserved legal activity within the meaning of the Legal Services Act 2007.

MyLiP does not:

Give legal advice.
Tell you what to do in your specific case.
Predict what a court or tribunal will decide.
Represent you in any proceeding.
Conduct litigation on your behalf.

AI-generated content

The Service is AI-powered. Every output is generated by AI and is labelled as such.

AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, outdated information or hallucinations. Legal citations in particular must be verified at legislation.gov.uk or bailii.org before you rely on them.
MyLiP has not been tested to determine whether its outputs operate at the level of a qualified solicitor, and the Service cannot adequately substitute for human legal expertise.
No guarantee of accuracy or suitability. The Service is provided on an “AS IS” basis — see our Terms of Service.
No outcome prediction. The Service does not and cannot predict what a court or tribunal will decide in your case. Judicial decisions involve discretion, facts that only come out at the hearing, and considerations the AI cannot fully see.

For high-stakes decisions, get professional advice

Decisions in a contested legal matter can have serious financial and personal consequences. For any decision that might materially affect your case, we strongly recommend consulting:

A solicitor regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
A direct access barrister authorised for public access work by the Bar Standards Board.
Where appropriate, a qualified McKenzie Friend for lay support in court.

MyLiP is designed to work alongside such professional help, not instead of it. Many subscribers use MyLiP for ongoing preparation and research, and instruct a direct access barrister for specific pieces of work (an FDR, a Final Hearing, a particular application).

No legal professional privilege

Important. Because MyLiP is not a law firm, communications between you and MyLiP are not covered by legal professional privilege. The UK judiciary’s October 2025 guidance treats inputs to AI tools as published to the world. If you are in litigation, anything you type into MyLiP could, in certain circumstances, be disclosable. For material you need to keep privileged, use your solicitor or barrister.

Your responsibility

Before using any MyLiP output in your case, you must:

Read it in full.
Check the citations at legislation.gov.uk or bailii.org.
Verify the facts against your actual documents.
Decide whether the output is suitable for your purpose.
Comply with any rules of the court or tribunal about AI-generated content, including disclosure requirements.

You remain responsible for every decision in your legal matter.

Limitations of liability

Our liability to you is limited as set out in our Terms of Service. In short: liability is capped at 12 months of fees paid; we do not accept liability for any decision you make in your legal matter in reliance on an AI output; and we do not exclude liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
