These Terms govern your use of MyLiP.ai. The short version: MyLiP is case-analysis software and a legal-information platform — not a law firm. You subscribe, upload your case documents, and use the AI to analyse them. You pay monthly or annually and can cancel any time. You own your case documents and the outputs you generate; we own the software and the law library. We don’t guarantee that our AI outputs are error-free, and you need to review everything before filing in court. Our liability to you is capped at 12 months of fees you have paid. The full clauses are below.
MyLiP.ai (the “Service”) is operated by MyLiP Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company incorporated in England and Wales [Company Number: to be inserted following incorporation]. Registered office: Hoxton Mix, 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE. Contact: hello@mylip.ai.
MyLiP analyses case documents uploaded by users, provides information about UK law drawn from publicly available sources (legislation.gov.uk and BAILII), and surfaces patterns from published judgments. MyLiP is not a law firm. MyLiP is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. MyLiP does not give legal advice and does not tell users what to do in their cases. For advice specific to your situation, you should consult a solicitor or direct access barrister. See our What MyLiP is and is not page for the full product description.

Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. Annual subscriptions renew automatically each year. You can cancel any time from your account settings or by emailing hello@mylip.ai.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access until then; you are not charged for the next period. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial months or years, except where required by law or under the 14-day cooling-off period below.
We use Stripe to process payments. Stripe’s terms apply to their handling of your payment data; see our Privacy Policy for more.
If you are a UK consumer, you have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of signing up under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and receive a full refund.
Our 14-day refund policy is more generous than the statutory minimum. You can cancel and get a full refund within 14 days of first paid signup unless you have both (a) completed the full Intake Wizard and (b) generated three or more AI queries. If you have consumed the Service in that way, a partial refund may be available at our discretion. If you have not used the Service substantively, a full refund is yours.
To cancel within the cooling-off period, email hello@mylip.ai with the subject line “14-day cancellation”.
You retain ownership of all case documents, inputs and notes you upload or generate using the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not use Your Content to train any AI model, ours or any third party’s. This is a firm commitment, not a discretionary one.
We retain ownership of the Service itself — including the software, prompts, templates, question logic, UK Law Library entries, judge intelligence profiles, branding, and all related intellectual property. You may use the Service and its outputs for your own legal matter but you may not resell, sublicense, reverse-engineer, scrape, or use any part of the Service to build a competing product. Full acceptable-use rules are set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.
We aim to provide the Service on an uninterrupted basis, but we do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, error-free or secure. We may need to suspend the Service occasionally for maintenance, updates or other reasons. We will try to give notice where practicable. The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
Key clause — please read. This section limits our liability to you. Some of these limits cannot apply to UK consumers under the Consumer Rights Act 2015; see below.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
We do not exclude or limit our liability for:
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy. Where practicable we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy. On termination, your access to the Service ends and we will provide a reasonable window (at least 30 days) for you to export Your Content before deletion, save where retention is required by law.
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Case documents uploaded to the Service typically contain special-category personal data under Article 9 UK GDPR (for example health, family, financial information). We handle such data under appropriate safeguards, including the explicit consent and contract-performance lawful bases, and will not use Your Content to train AI models.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute arising under or in connection with them. Nothing in this clause prevents you, as a UK consumer, from bringing proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK in which you are domiciled.
If something goes wrong, email hello@mylip.ai and we’ll aim to respond within 5 working days. If you’re not satisfied, UK consumers can also use the Citizens Advice consumer helpline or, for data protection concerns, complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
